MimiClon’s Board of Directors consists of industry veterans who bring a wealth of knowledge and deep experience to their role in leading the Company’s activities.
Kyle Kerbawy retired in 2009 as Managing Director, Bank of New York Mellon, where he managed information technology and operations for the Investment Plans Division of the Bank. He was previously CEO of MAVRICC Management Systems, which he co-founded in 1980 and which was acquired by The Bank of New York in 2001. Prior to that he was president and managing owner of a Detroit-based manufacturing company. Since retirement, Mr. Kerbawy has founded and operated two small, single-purpose companies, BKS Associates (residential real estate leasing) and Medical Device Sales Corporation (medical device sales). Mr. Kerbawy was an initial investor in MimiClon, and is one of the company’s largest shareholders.
Dave Anderson has been a successful entrepreneur in the orthopedic medical device field for over 20 years. He has led four orthopedic organizations: Osteotech (Executive VP), Bionx Implants (CEO), Replication Medical (Founder and Director), and Gentis (CEO). He was a founder of Osteotech and was the founder and CEO of Bionx Implants which he grew through over 60 product approvals to over $20 million in sales in less than three years. He was also part of the team that created Integra LifeSciences, was on the Board of Directors of Replication Medical, and is an active Director on Vision Sciences, (NASDAQ: VSCI), Aperion Biologics, and Synergy Medical. Mr. Anderson has raised over $150 million in venture capital, taken a company through IPO onto NASDAQ, and has been a part of multiple M&A transactions.
Skip Baldino is President and CEO of EndoGastric Solutions. Prior to assuming his current role, he served for four years as President, Americas for Given Imaging, where he was part of the senior leadership team that successfully sold the company to Covidien (subsequently acquired by Medtronic). Prior to Given Imaging, he enjoyed a distinguished 26-year career at Abbott Laboratories. While there, Mr. Baldino established an outstanding track record of consistent and high-performing financial and organizational success. His experience encompasses various key customer segments, as well as a wide range of product portfolios, product life-cycles, new product launches, and integrations. As a divisional Vice President, he held key commercial leadership roles in Diabetes Care, Diagnostics, Medical Products (Corporate), Hospital Products (now known as Hospira), Health Systems, and Specialty Products.
Jim Osborne has served as Director of Business Development at Genesis Planning since 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Osborne held positions in marketing, product development, and sales at a range of medical device companies including Trumpf Medical, Apria Healthcare, Misuho/OSI, Siemens Healthcare, Stille Surgical, and Parke-Davis Medical. He was a trusted advisor to MimiClon founder Dr. Alan Speivack, and assisted with many elements of the company’s initial development. Mr. Osborne has advanced training and clinical experience in regenerative stem cell medicine and healthcare sustainability.
Claude Pering most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Berkeley Advanced Biomaterials, Inc. Previously, he was COO of Tutogen Medical and VP of Operations for RTI Biologics Inc. Mr. Pering has 25 years of corporate operations management experience in the medical device field, including leadership positions at CoperTech (Principal), Hayes Medical (President and COO), Norian Corporation (VP of Operations), Ace Medical Company (COO), and Zimmer, Inc. (Corporate Director, Quality Assurance and Group Manager, Quality Engineering). He also serves on the board of four corporations.
